Chris Biles and Linda Smith have been involved with dogs for most of their lives (showing, judging and breeding). Chris started exhibiting Cocker Spaniels under the Jesterly Affix in 1978, she acquired her first Pointer in 1982 and teamed up with Linda in 1990. Linda had also been exhibiting Pointers for many years.
The Jesterly Pointers, starting with Wyndsmoor Pearl (Kirsty), has produced a steady line of quality dogs over the years and has always placed the breeds best interest at the forefront of its' breeding policy.
(Kirsty) 1982 - 1997
One of Kirsty's major successes was producing Jesterly Moonlight Glow (Drew) from her first litter and Jesterly Arkle Black (Holly) from her second. Drew, gained a Res C.C. in 1990, but found his niche in life as a prominent stud dog. Having sired more than his share of quality pups it is fair to say that Drew has made a notable contribution to the pointer breed, not only in the U.K. but also abroad, especially the U.S.A. Holly, a sound bitch and avid participant in the show ring, had her own success in 1988, amid very stiff competition, gaining her Junior Warrant and first Res C.C. She also qualified for the pup of the year finals. followed by her second Res C.C. in 1989.

The Jesterly Kennels grew in 1990 with the addition of Jesterly Northern Belle (Penny) from Holly's only litter. Penny went on to gain her Junior Warrant and Bitch CC at the Pointer Club Championship Show.

1996 saw the introduction to our kennels of Tzaziki Diamond Desire (Sally), a very flamboyant bitch and a joy to have around.

1998 saw more success in the show ring when Lynwater Rummy of Crookrise (Della 1 Res C.C. + 1 Green Star) joined the select group. The Jesterly Kennels continue to produce sound dogs, both in temperament and type, with the arrival of Della's offspring to Sh Ch Tycarreg Sparks Fly JW Sh CM.
